How To Get A Dinner Deal For Your Business or Social Group

So you’ve got a group and you’re looking around for a restaurant or cafe that will oblige you a deal. Its not easy but here’s what I do….

Firstly I do this face to face and not on the phone.

The reason being is that you want to speak directly with the decision-makers and view the venue firsthand.

ONE: Look for seating arrangements from the window or if the venue has an upstairs seating or function rooms. You’ll need to aim at say a space for at least 10 people to make it worth asking them.

TWO: When you go inside, ask the obvious; “Do you take group bookings?” yes I know – but guess what some places actually don’t take group bookings, so you do need to ask first.

THREE: Ask them; Do you have any group deals available? again, its an obvious question, BUT you’d be surprised at some of the answers. Pay attention! I’ve often walked in an innocently asked this question and found they DO have deals, not every place will but the few that do is well worth asking.
